In February 2015, Paula gave is me a Valentine’s Day card. Inside, she wrote the following: There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about you throughout my day. Saying I love you seems so natural, but it is so true and filled with meaning every time I say it. I fall more and more in love with you every breath I take. We had our ups and downs in the beginning, but it was that love that I felt for you that always brought me back. When I think I know you, you always show me another side of yourself. Being with you brings out the good in me. I have calmed down so much, and I can say I am happy.
